Transformation

We entered the puppy in his first AKC dog show, held last weekend, and he got his first Winner’s Dog on Friday in Working Breed. We are so proud of him; our baby is growing up!

It has taken me almost this entire week to recover though. Because the show was about 45 minutes north of us, we decided to drive up each day (3 days) instead of getting a room and staying over. But that meant that we had to be up at 5:00 AM each morning and get on the road. I had a hard time getting my coffee quota high enough. We saw his breeder and he competed with his brother and one of his sisters in his classes. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work, but well worth the time and effort. Our show puppy took 1st place and Reserve Winner over the remaining course of the weekend. Not bad for our first time.

    1. Thanks Fozziemum! He’s your typical ‘little boy’. Loves to play in the dirt and mud, but doesn’t like to walk on wet grass…go figure. He cleans up pretty good though 🙂

    1. Hi Bella, I am not a morning person, unless I get my coffee quota!!! Puppy cleans up pretty good doesn’t he? We’re off to Atlanta next weekend for round two. I hope I hold up as well as the pup 🙂
